After a long exhausting week with a heavy workload, we all deserve a getaway. All the people who cannot travel much around due to their work commitments prefer short weekend trips. Recently I went to Punjab with my friends for a much-needed weekend escape. So, I’m going to tell you all what I did and what more you can do on your trip.
1. Make A Playlist
If you are going by your own vehicle, you got to have a playlist. You don’t want to spend the entire time thinking of songs. Make your playlist according to your mood. You should have one loud and one soft song playlist with you. Keep in mind; the songs should match the vibe of your company. You don’t want to play something inappropriate in front of your family and then get thrown out of the car.
2. Find Unexplored Places
Wherever you go, read about that place beforehand and Google the places which are still not explored. You can watch vlogs, read various blogs related to your destination, and find something new. The best thing about these secret places is that they are peaceful and refreshing. You will also find fewer crowds in these places, and you can have fun without jeopardizing your privacy.
3. Enjoy A Peaceful Sunset
A trip is incomplete without a beautiful sunset. As per research, sunset has psychological effects on your body which can enhance long-lasting satisfaction in your life. You can skip any other activity on your trip but not a sunset because jitna bhi chaaho, zindagi mai kuch na kuch toh chhoot hi jaata hai (And that kuch should not be a sunset)
4. Plan A Budget
Always plan your budget even for a short trip. You don’t want to spend your entire salary on just a short trip. I mean we are not Ambani’s after all. You can download apps like Monefy, Spendee, Money Lover to track your spending, and this way you won’t get confused about who owes how much money. (your friends won’t get away this time.). I know this doesn’t sound much fun, but it will make your life a little easier. Your call!
5. Get Involved In A Local Event
I feel it's important to know the roots of the place you are going to. You can always search for the local events going on in any area and enjoy each and every beauty. You never know, you might end up having the craziest night of your life.
6. Try Local Food
Instead of going to an expensive restaurant or café, try exploring some local dhabas/thela’s/small shops. They always have the best and mouthwatering food. And this way, not only your stomach, will be happy but also your wallet will feel better.
7. Click Pictures And Take Souvenirs
Always and always take pictures, as many as you can because why not!? Some people do not click pictures because they want to capture everything in their mind and shit, but let’s be honest we are going to forget something after a few years. And if we have those memories and moments captured, we will laugh so hard and yahi pal toh baad mai yaad ayenge.
Next time, let's check all these things out of our checklist and enjoy our much-deserved weekend getaways. You can comment down below if you want some suggestions for your next trip. Till then, keep working because we need that money for our trip!
